  • SignalCore SC803A nanoSynth® SMT 100/200MHz Reference

    The SignalCore SC803A, part of the Weebill reference source series, is an OCXO disciplined source with selectable 100 MHz or 200 MHz output that phase locks to an external 10 MHz source. This product has great phase noise of -170 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz, 100 MHz making it an excellent choice for systems requiring a low noise external reference. It is housed in a small package measuring 2.0” x 1.25” x 0.35”. The SC803A is also an excellent choice as an external 200 MHz reference for our hummingbird synthesizers, the SC801A or SC802A.

  • SignalCore SC801A & SC802A nanoSynth® SMT 20GHz Synthesizers

    SignalCore continues to enlarge its nanoCircuits® platform with the introduction of 3 new Synthesizers as part of the SMT nanoSynth® family. The SC801A and SC802A, part of our Hummingbird series, are fully integrated broadband CW Signal Synthesizers that tune at 1 Hz resolution between the range of 0.625 GHz to 10 GHz and 1.25 GHz to 20 GHz respectively. Built upon our proprietary low phase noise architecture, these synthesizers exhibit ultra-low phase noise of < -115 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz for a 10 GHz carrier. Along with sweep and list mode functions, and small size of 2.5” x 1.75” x 0.31”, these synthesizers are ideal building blocks for RF and microwave systems.

    These units require an external 200 MHz reference. We recommend using the SC803A, part of the Weebill reference source series.

  • SignalCore SC5520A & SC5521A 40GHz Signal Source

    The SC5520A (PXI Express) and SC5521A (USB-SPI-RS232) are part of the ultra-high frequency synthesizer series (UHFS) of Signal Generators. It has a frequency tuning range of 160 MHz to 40 GHz stepping at 1 Hz Resolution with an amplitude range of -10 dBm to +15 dBm typical with phase noise among the lowest in the market. These modules are both compact and rugged, making them ideal for system integration into frequency converters, test equipment, or as clocks in modern day digital data converters.

    It has been proven that, in digital communications, this device’s superb phase noise does not degrade the EVM of digital data. The excellent phase noise of this signal generator and its cost effectiveness will make system design a smooth process.

  • SignalCore SC5510A & SC5511A Dual Channel 20GHz/3GHz Signal Source

    The SignalCore SC5510A and SC5511A are high-performance VCO-based synthesized signal generators with a tunable output frequency range of 100 MHz to 20 GHz. Although consuming only 16 W of power, they contain the instrument grade performance of large box instruments. A low phase noise output of -137 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset from a 1 GHz carrier, a 1 Hz tuning resolution, and an amplitude step resolution of 0.01 dB over a -30 dBm to +10 dBm output range sets these modules apart from other PXI modular signal generators. Furthermore, through the use of a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -70 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution

  • SignalCore SC5507A & SC5508A 6GHz Signal Source

    The SignalCore SC5507A and SC5508A are from our PSG (Performance Signal Generator) line of Signal Generators, providing tunable frequency range from DC to 6.25 GHz, with Resolution of 1 mHz. Their amplitude range is typically between -50 dBm to +15 dBm stepping at 0.01 dB, and harmonics are typically < -35 dBc. Phase noise at 5 GHz CW is better than -125 dBc/Hz@10kHz. These RF signal generators incorporate a 1 MHz to 6 GHz power sensor whose measurement range is -25 dBm and 15 dBm with accuracies of better than 0.50 dB.

    The signal purity, wide frequency range, large amplitude range, and power sensing make these devices ideal for applications ranging from digital clocking to LO sources, as well as in applications requiring stimulus and sense in a compact and rugged form factor.

  • SignalCore SC5502A & SC5503B 10GHz Signal Source

    The SignalCore SC5502A and SC5503B Signal Generators are designed to meet demanding low phase noise applications. This is accomplished by employing a multiple phase-locked loop architecture as well as a YIG oscillator as the core of its synthesizer. Frequency accuracy is provided by an onboard 10 MHz temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) which can be phase locked to an external reference source if required. These RF Signal Generators can be used as standalone CW Signal Sources or as LO sources for frequency conversion systems such as the SignalCore IQ Modulators and Demodulators.   • SignalCore SC5412A & SC5413A 6GHz Direct IQ Modulators/UpConverters

    The SignalCore SC5412A and SC5413A are 400 MHz to 6 GHz direct IQ modulators upconverting analog In-phase and Quadrature IF or IQ baseband directly to RF. Each module can also be operated as a single stage upconverter. The DC coupled differential IQ pair may be driven by any dual channel baseband source such as a dual channel arbitrary waveform generator. The local oscillator (LO) is supplied by an external source (such as the SC5505A or SC5506A respectively), and its replica may be used to drive another direct IQ upconverter for coherent transmission.

    The SignalCore SC5407A and SC5408A are high performance, triple stage, heterodyne upconverters. With input RF frequency ranging from DC to 6 GHz, the modules have selectable IF bandwidths of 80 MHz, 160 MHz, and 320 MHz. Each module utilizes a YIG oscillator as its tunable RF LO, which provides excellent phase noise, thus contributing negligible noise to the output RF signal.   • SignalCore SC5405A & SC5406B 3.9GHz UpConverters

    The SignalCore SC5405A and SC5406B are Triple-Stage, High-Dynamic range, Superheterodyne Upconverters. Designed to convert low frequency broadband IF signals to higher RF signals, these two modules have 3rd order linearity and noise performance that rival direct-conversion devices, but without image and in-band LO leakages inherent to them. When paired with a SignalCore downconverter, the pair may form a frequency re-allocator that would receive information on one band and transmit the same information on another. With an add-on feature, the SC5405A and SC5406B can each be configured as a 1 MHz to 3.9 GHz sine-tone generator.

    The SignalCore SC5320A is a Ka band single stage Downconverter, with input RF range from 20 GHz to 40 GHz, external LO frequency range from 10 GHz to 20 GHz, output IF range from 100 MHz to 4 GHz, and 3 dB bandwidth of 2 GHz. This module features an internal synthesized local oscillator, selectable RF preamplifier, and variable gain control, making it a compact and versatile standalone downconverter module. With the option for an external LO, the SC5320A may be configured for SISO applications or paired together with multiple units for MIMO applications such as ground-based satellite communications, point-to-point radio, test instruments, and other RF measurement systems.

  • SignalCore SC5317A & SC5318A 26.5GHz Downconverter

    The SignalCore SC5317A & SC5318A is a C to K broadband single-stage Downconverter, converting frequencies from 6 GHz to 26.5 GHz down to 50 MHz to 3 GHz. The LO frequency range is from 6 to 26.5 GHz with an input LO range from 6 to 14 GHz. An internal frequency doubler multiplies the input LO range up to 26.5 GHz. This module also features an internal 26.5 GHz synthesized LO, RF preamplifer, and variable gain control making it a compact standalone downconverter module. With the option for an external LO signal, the SC5317A & SC5318A may be configured for SISO applications or paired together for MIMO applications such as ground-based satellite communications, point-to-point radio, and test instrument systems.

    The SC5318A can be combined with SignalCore’s SC5308A to form a broadband 100 kHz to 26.5 GHz Downconverter. These high-performance converter modules are compact, rugged, and built for simple integration into larger systems.

    The SC5312A and SC5313A are 400 MHz to 6 GHz direct IQ demodulators, down converting RF directly to analog In-phase and Quadrature IF or IQ baseband. The DC coupled differential IQ pair may be fed to any dual channel digitizer for analog to digital data conversion. The local oscillator (LO) is supplied by an external source (such as the SC5505A and SC5506A respectively) and its replica may be used to drive another direct IQ downconverter for coherent reception. These modules can also be configured together as an RF signal transceiver.

    The SignalCore SC5309A and SC5310A are 2.5 GHz Triple-Stage Downconverters. They are low cost integrated modules designed for radio and TV broadcasting, cable networks, and spectral monitoring applications. These modules feature high signal-to-noise dynamic range and high spurious free dynamic range. The phase noise is very low, at -105 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset with a typical noise floor of -153 dBm/Hz. The noise floor can be reduced to -170 dBm/Hz by enabling the internal preamplifer.
